Universidad Católica de Temuco welcomes national and international students to come and study for one semester or academic year and have an amazing undergraduate academic experience immersed in Temuco, an exciting southern city located in the Araucania Region.

• WIFI: All campuses have free WIFI available
• LIBRARY: You will just have to present your ID card or passport to access the library
• MEDICAL AND DENTAL ATTENTION (UNIVERSITY HEALTH PROGRAM): The University provides free medical, physiotherapist, nutritionist, physician and obstetric services. The University also provides low cost dental services.
• OPPORTUNITY TO INCREASE TRANSCULTURAL EMPATHY: To participate from this program you will have the opportunity to interact with young Chilean students who want to become future professionals and citizens of an increasing global community.

If you plan on studying at Universidad Católica de Temuco for one academic semester or an academic year, you must apply for a student visa called “Visa de Estudiante”.  You should apply for a student visa at your nearest Chilean embassy or Consulate of Chile http://www.minrel.gob.cl/minrel/site/edic/base/port/inicio_eng.html

A student visa allows foreign students to enter the country and study but applying for a paid work is illegal when holding a student visa.

Upon arrival in Temuco, you must get your visa registered at Departamento de Extranjería de la Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) located in Miraflores 724, Temuco (https://goo.gl/maps/uJVkWXMYLfk)

After getting your visa registered, go to the Chilean Registry and Identification Service Office and apply for a national ID Card for foreigners (CLP $4.000 or $8,00 USD). This Office is located in: Vicuña Mackenna 711, Temuco (https://goo.gl/maps/g4fCAhGNzQk)
