Chile is a long and narrow country which lies between the Andes mountain range and the Pacific Ocean, in the south east of South America. It borders Peru to the north, Bolivia and Argentina to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Chile’s territories also include the islands of Juan Fernandez and Easter Island.
Chile has an area of 756,096 km2, approximately double the size of Germany. The country is divided into 15 regions, each subdivided into 54 provinces and in turn into 346 districts.
